Used in drilling operations, the amount of fresh water slurry is generally 0.3-1%, and the amount of brine slurry is 1-2%.
It can be directly added to the circulating well slurry and can also be formulated into a glue solution.
In the process of drilling, due to the effect of pressure difference, the water in drilling fluid is inevitably filtered through the borehole wall into the formation, resulting in the loss of drilling fluid. As water enters the formation, clay particles in the drilling fluid attach to the borehole wall to form a "filter cake", forming a filter cake borehole wall. As the filter cake well wall is much denser than the original one, it not only prevents further water loss of drilling fluid, but also plays a role in protecting the well wall. However, in the process of the formation of the well wall of filter cake, too much water is lost, the filter cake is too thick, and fine clay particles enter the formation with water, which will affect the normal drilling and cause damage to the formation.
