Classification Of Conventional Quaternary Ammonium Type For Cationic Surfactants

Conventional quaternary ammonium salt cationic surfactants can be divided into the following types:


1Alkyl trimethylammonium type cationic surfactant: alkyl trimethylammonium is produced by the reaction of high fat amine and chloromethane in the presence of sodium hydroxide.The surfactant is a long chain alkyl or alkyl (the number of carbon atoms is usually 8 to 22), and three short chain alkyl groups (the number of carbon atoms is 1 to 7).For example1231 (dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride), 1431 (dodecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride), 1631 (hexadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride), 1831 (octadecyl trimethyl ammonium chloride).This kind of surface active agent soluble in water,It is transparent with excellent surface activity, and can be used as a shampoo, bactericidal detergent, polystyrene resin such as external coating with antistatic agent, fiber with antistatic agent, leveling agent, dispersing agent and demulsifier

2Dialkyl dimethyl ammonium cationic surfactant:Dialkyl dimethyl ammonium salt is prepared by reaction of dialkylamine or dialkyl methylamine with chloromethane in the presence of sodium hydroxide。Its molecular structure has two long chain alkyl groups or hydrocarbon groups, two short chain alkyl groups,Where the number of carbon atoms of the long chain alkyl group is 8 to 22, the two long chains can be the same or different.Common combinations are: D12 (two dodecyl), D14 14 alkyl (two), D16 (two cetyl), D18 (two octadecyl), 12/14 (dodecyl a myristyl).12/16 (a dodecyl cetyl), 8/10 (a octyl decyl), 8/12 (a octyl dodecyl), 8/14 (a octyl myristyl), 10/12 (a decyl dodecyl, 10/14 (a decyl myristyl), 10/16 (one a hexadecyl decyl) and etc。This surfactant can be used as a softener in shampoo or household fiber products.

3Alkyl dimethyl benzyl (hydroxyethyl/propyl) quaternary ammonium salt type cationic surfactant:Produced by reaction of alkyl dimethylamine with benzyl chloride or epichlorohydrin,for example 1227 (dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride), 1427 (dodecyl dimethyl benzyl ammonium chloride), 1222 (dodecyl dimethyl ethyl ammonium chloride),Dodecyl dimethyl hydroxy ethyl (propyl) base ammonium chloride and etc.The surfactant is easy to dissolve in water and is transparent. The content of the surfactant is several parts per million, which is capable of sterilization and disinfection.Even in boiling water it is stable, its bactericidal power increases with the increase of pH value, and it also has good foaming power.

Feature:

The product can dissociate into cation active groups. Therefore it has the performance of cleanliness, and sterilization. Long-term exposure easy to absorb moisture in the air, this product is fast light, heat-resisting, compression resistance; stable, long-term storage does not affect the quality.

Purpose

It is widely used in medical surgery in the disinfection of the skin and surgical machinery, it is also widely used in disinfection, corrosion, emulsification, detergency, solubilization, etc... This product has a high bactericidal ability, toxicity in industrial water treatment, no cumulative toxicity, and dissolved in water, easy to use, the water PH does not has effect on it, and it has a strong exfoliation. Therefore it especially suitable for large-scale petrochemical installations, power plants and other circulating cooling water biocide agent and sludge remover, it used to control the circulating cooling water system to accumulate the sulfate-reducing bacteria breeding in the dirt.

Usage

Dosing the product 1 to 2 times every month. Dosing concentration(20—50)mg/L

Packaging and Storage: The product is packaged by 50KGWide mouth plastic drum. Store in a cool room, storage period is two year.
